In the beginning of 1982 Martin Leeuwis approached Ton van Andel to produce a book with his cartoons. This was named “Say again”, published august 1982 and it became an immediate success.
We continued after that with several other books:
-the ‘Say…’ series of books, totalling 8 titles
-‘Veilig Gevlogen’ with all calender cartoons
-book ‘SkyTeam’ that was produced for KLM
-in ‘Good Landing’ series Ton participated in all 3 books
and the cartoons by Ton were the reason of the success of Martin Leeuwis Publications.
Unfortunately Ton van Andel died unexpectedly at an age of 85 years in February 2017.
He will be remembered through his excellent aviation cartoons!
